On a walk the other morning, I noticed these little stacks of rocks in the creek. I don't know who built them or why, but I thought they looked nice. Have a wonderful weekend. :)
Maybe some canarians build up the rocks, they do that here on islands a lot ;) But your photos are so transcendent, especially the 3rd, is my favorite!
Hi Ladydazy, It's at Sabino Canyon. On the main tram road, about a quarter of a mile past the one-mile marker, there are steps leading down to the creek. The creek is not always flowing, but there are usually some pools of still water in that area. It is a nice place to walk and take pictures. :)
Seeing your post, it reminds me of an artist in San Diego who puts the most unusual rocks like these on top of each other (you think the stack is going to fall over, but they don't!). Something intriguing!

¡Buenos dias Bolivia!
The rocks make very neat reflections. I have heard of people creating rock sculptures in shallow water but have never witnessed it myself.
Isn't that amazing? It makes us stop and wonder. Beautiful photos, Diane, and the reflection is fantastic.
I have come across these while out hiking, but have never seen them out in the water like this. I love the reflections.
For the pleasure of building cairns probably and for the ones walking by.
Everything is so still! It was not taken on Saturday it's for sure ;-))
the reflection is amazing Diane, the water is so clear and so still, i love seeing cairns too.
lovely photos.
must be aliens or a government conspiracy :-))
I do love the rock formations and the reflections are gorgeous. I can't see these without thinking of Buddha Beach at Oak Creek in Sedona.
All these are very interesting...
What a beautiful place to walk! :) Where is it, my daughter is asking. :)
