Tom, I think it's the beginning of a new prickly pear cactus pad. The flower buds start out looking similar usually in May. Thanks for your comment. :)
Okay...what kind of camera are you using? You take some of the most beautifully clear pictures. I love all the subtle colors and I can't believe Tracy didn't comment on the Fairy Duster...they're one of her favorites.
